Commissioner W. R. "Skip" Fischer is a 42-year resident of Adams County. Skip has always been active in the community, including serving on the Adams County Planning Commission and membership in the Adams County Historical Society, the North Metro Board of Realtors and the Metro North Chamber of Commerce. Skip was elected to the Board of County Commissioner in November 2004 and currently serves as the chairman. He also serves on the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) board, the Boundary Control Commission, the Adams County Economic Development board and the Adams County Housing Authority board. He is the alternate representative to the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District board, the Airport Negotiations board and the E-470 Public Highway Authority board. |

Commissioner Alice J. Nichol was born, raised and married, in the same precinct of Adams County and is proud to represent its people. After retiring from an 18-year career with the Mapleton School District, Commissioner Nichol ran for and won a seat as state representative for House District 34 where she served for six years. She then ran for, and won, a seat in the state senate and served for six years. She was elected to the Adams County Board of Commissioners in November 2004 and currently serves as vice chairman. Commissioner Nichol works to encourage new businesses to locate in Adams County in order to provide jobs so that residents can work near their homes. Commissioner Nichol serves on the Front Range Airport Authority board, Urban Drainage and Flood Control District board, the Adams County Water Association board and the Adams County Economic Development executive board. She is the alternate representative to the Boundary Control Commission. |

Commissioner Larry Pace is a 30-year resident of Adams County. He taught at Clear Lake Middle School in Adams County District 50 for 33 years. He holds a Bachelor's degree in science and social science and a Master's degree in Administration. Larry is serving his second term on the Adams County Board of Commissioners. He currently serves on the Airport Negotiations board, the E-470 Public Highway Authority board and the Arapahoe House board and is chairman of the Front Range Airport Authority board. He is the alternate representative to the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) board, the Adams County Economic Development board, the Adams County Housing Authority board and the Adams County Water Quality Association board. |

Barbara J. DesMarteau is the Director of the Adams County Community & Economic Opportunity Department that includes the Workforce & Business Center, Community Development, and Head Start. Barbara has served in the public sector for over 20 years in state and local government. Barbara completed the Senior Executive Program for State and Local officials at Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government. She has completed the International Career Advancement Program at the University of Denver and the Head Start – Johnson & Johnson Fellows Program at the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. Barbara attended graduate school at the University of Kansas, and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas. |

Rich Lemke is the Director of the Adams County Finance and Information Technology Department. Rich was born and raised in Brighton Colorado and has worked in the public sector for 23 years. Rich is responsible for preparing the annual county budget which includes 12 county departments and six elected official offices. Under Rich’s leadership, the Finance Department has received the Government Finance Officers Association Award for reporting and budgeting. Adams County has received awards for the past 20 years for their Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. Rich also oversees telecommunication services for the 1,500 member county workforce. Rich has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado with a major in Accounting. |
