There are three important options when considering the creation of a charitable gift. These three options appeal to a vast spectrum of personal, business, estate and philanthropic goals.
A) Consider a current gift given outright – such as a gift of cash or long-term
appreciated securities. Maximum income tax deduction benefits are awarded to
you when you choose this option and this type of gift helps the Adams County
Foundation programs reach their goals with financial excellence.
B) Consider a life-income gift. A gift of cash, long-term appreciated securities
or real estate, allow you to retain the right to receive income from the donation
for your lifetime and the lifetime of your spouse. This method of giving can provide
a significant income to you, with the benefit of a healthy income tax deduction.
C) Consider a gift that comes to us after your lifetime, a bequest. A bequest
to the Adams County Foundation provides ultimate flexibility for our donors. There
are no income or tax advantages during your lifetime if you contribute to the Adams
County Foundation with this form of giving.
An important decision all donors need to make after a considerable amount of thought and consultation – are there more advantages to creating a gift during your lifetime or after your lifetime?
After you have reached the right conclusion a wide range of giving options exist to establish a charitable fund that meets your personal as well as philanthropic goals.
